Reason #17: Reduce Critical, Costly Errors
Today’s tight budgets leave little room for errors that result in costly rework. The NCI Charrette System™ provides a safety net to help complex and volatile projects avoid “post-charrette meltdown.” Months before the beginning of the charrette, during the Project Assessment and Organization phase, the project management team identifies the key stakeholders and how and when they are involved. An important question to ask regarding any stakeholder is “do we risk substantial project rework if this person is involved too late?” If the answer is yes then you need to involve that person or group early and often. The same applies to data. A rigorous project assessment will identify these key contributors and create a plan for their early presence in the project.
